Import Video into FCPX - Technical Issues

I began Creating a backup of all the video cards and imported all the footage into a Final Cut Pro Project. I had about 3 Hours of footage in 4 different angles. This equaled to 12 hours of recording. I set up a multicam Clip to begning editing. This reduced the need to watch all the angles seperatly. I had never used the Multicam editing on FCPX, however i had used it on the previous version of Final cut pro 7 Studio. Some of the issues i had while setting up for editing.

  1. The Canon 60D could not record more then 15min in one go. There for there were gaps within the Canon Time Line. Sometimes i would forget to keep and eye on the camera. It would stop automatically and it would take me some time to start the recording again.
  2. I had Left the camera on automatic White Balance this lead to a different temperature in each angle.
  3. The Gopro Camera where set to NTSC format and recorded at 30/60 FPS. This made transcoded longer during the edit. The Canon was set to 1080p 25fps. I used this at the Project value. And all other angles where set to be transcoded as this rate and size.
  4. 3 other angles where recorded and 2.7k and 4k Reselutions to have the ability to zoom in post production.

Unfortunatly with all the different camera resulation and frame rates creating optimised media consumed about 1TB of data. FOr future work i will make sure all camera are set to similair setting espessialy frame rate. To be less burden on storage usage.
